Sign 1 — It Loads Slowly on Mobile
If your website takes more than 4 seconds to load on a mobile phone, you are losing approximately half of your visitors before they see a single line of your content. Google also uses page speed as a ranking factor — a slow website ranks lower, which means less traffic in addition to lower conversion from the traffic you do receive.
You can test this immediately: open your website on your own mobile phone on a 4G connection (not Wi-Fi). If it feels slow to you, it is definitely slow for your customers. Google's free PageSpeed Insights tool gives you a precise score and specific fixes.
Sign 2 — It Was Last Updated More Than 3 Years Ago
A website that was built in 2019 or earlier was designed for a different internet. Mobile usage patterns have changed. Google's ranking criteria have changed. WhatsApp integration did not exist as a standard feature. Schema markup for AI search was not common. Most importantly, customer expectations for website quality have risen significantly.
An outdated website also signals to potential customers — particularly businesses evaluating you as a vendor — that your company may not be keeping up with its own operations. First impressions online are as important as first impressions in person.
Sign 3 — There Is No WhatsApp Button
WhatsApp is the primary communication channel for business in India. If your website does not have a WhatsApp click-to-chat button, you are creating a gap between interested visitors and your business. Most people — particularly on mobile — will not fill out a contact form. They want to send a message the same way they communicate with everyone else. A missing WhatsApp button is one of the highest-cost omissions on a business website.
Sign 4 — You Cannot Find It on Google for Your Own Business Name
This sounds extreme but it happens — particularly for older websites built without SEO foundations. If you search for "[your business name] + [your city]" and your website does not appear in the top results, your website has an SEO problem that is actively preventing customers from finding you. This is usually fixable with technical SEO work, but older websites often have structural issues that make a rebuild more cost-effective than patching.
Sign 5 — It Does Not Appear in AI Search Results
This is the newest signal and many business owners are not yet aware of it. When someone asks ChatGPT, Claude or Bing AI to recommend a service provider in your category and location, those platforms generate answers based on structured data, schema markup, Google Business Profile information and website content quality. Websites without proper schema markup, FAQ sections and structured content are largely invisible to AI search — which is a growing source of business discovery in 2026.
What a Redesign Actually Involves
A redesign is not just changing the visual appearance. A proper redesign addresses the technical foundation — improving load speed, mobile performance, SEO structure and schema markup — while also updating the content to reflect your current services, adding WhatsApp integration and structuring the site for lead capture.
We have delivered redesigns for businesses where the new site generated more enquiries in the first month than the old site had in the previous year — not because of advertising, but because the redesigned site converted visitors who were already arriving.
